Tana is taught phonetics at school because of which she tries to spell the words through the way they are pronounced, the result is now she can read things and sometimes need our help. I find it amazing that she has begun reading at such a young age and understands what she is reading, i am proud mommy !! God bless her.
I think i had learned to read at the age of 8-9 years and mostly it was restricted to my school books and nothing outside. But as i was growing i started reading comics and then in intermediate shifted to reading fiction novels beginning with M& B which were quite addictive and then got bored after the 6-7th book. Then read all "Sidney Sheldon", followed by all "Jeffery Archer", turning to classics like "Fountain Head". There was no turning back and have been reading ever since, have compiled a small library at my parent's home and it has books for all age group. Few of my favourite books are, Love Story, God Father, Bridges of Madison County, Da Vinci Code, Doctors, Fried green tomatoes, Pride & prejudice, Astrix & Obelix, Memoirs of Geisha, As the crow flies; Now i can pass those books to Tana and get her hooked to reading all books and shall take her to the library too.
Had a hectic day at office and happy that weekend is around the corner as i get to see the kids and spend time with them. I plan to see "My name is Khan " too
